Privacy Policy
Effective date: 13 July 2026
AirWrite is built to work without knowing who you are. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no advertising.
What the app collects
- Anonymous usage analytics (Google Firebase Analytics): events such as “a message was displayed”, with the message length and chosen colour. The text you type never leaves your device — it is stored only locally to prefill the input next time.
- Crash reports (Google Firebase Crashlytics): if the app crashes, a technical report is sent including device model, iOS version, and the code location of the failure. It contains no personal data.
- Purchase state: whether the colour unlock has been purchased. Payment itself is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details.
What the app does not collect
- No names, emails, contacts, photos, or location.
- No advertising identifiers and no tracking across other apps.
- No selling or sharing of data with third parties for marketing.
Motion sensors
AirWrite reads the gyroscope and accelerometer to track your arm's swing while the display screen is open. Sensor data is processed on the device in real time and is never recorded or transmitted.
Data processing
Analytics and crash data are processed by Google Firebase (Firebase privacy notice) on our behalf and retained under Firebase's standard retention periods. This data is aggregated and cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
Your choices
You can ask us to describe or delete analytics data associated with your device by contacting us, though as the data is anonymous we may be unable to link any of it to you specifically.
Children
AirWrite does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
